About the walk:
Starting at the fire ravaged Spittal of Glenshee site we head southwards up to the Lairig Gate. This is a short sharp section and the remainder of the walk is all downhill. From the Lairig stunning views can be had. We spy the Upper Lunch Hut, made famous by Queen Victoria and a teapot, though the hut was built a long time after. After visiting for our own break we head south through Calamanach wood and detour slightly to take in some scenic waterfalls on the burn into Dirnanean Estate. We pick up the Cateran Trail again and finish at Enochdu, where the minibus will be waiting to take us for refreshments at the Strathardle Inn.
