About the walk:
While this is a Moderate walk in terms of difficulty it does cross some rough ground in places. This is a Scottish Rights of Way route now incorporated as part of the Cateran Trail, and provides a 2 day short circular walk incorporating the sections to Enochdu and The Spittal. We start near the Lair junction and head west across the old drove paths, across the head of Glenkilrie, before passing near Ashintully Castle and descending into Kirkmichael. There are ruined houses and ancient settlements along the way.
